Hey Rennlisters. I bought my car from here and now I'm posting for sale here as well. The only reason I'm selling is because I've finally accepted the limitations of 9 foot surgeries that make driving a manual harder than it should be, and as a result, not as fun. It's a sad thing, but after four manual sports cars, I've accepted that DCT is for me.

Since I've had it, it has been a great car. It handles tighter than any other 996 I've driven and accelerates like a demon. I've had it totally checked out by my trusted performance shop, Future Classic Motorcars, and had them perform an oil change with Amsoil Euro Blend (great oil). I have installed a Speedtech "Quiet" exhaust and some motorsport-spec Enkei RC-T4's. I'll include the stock exhaust and twists with sale.

Since the detailed post on this forum is why I bought this car over many others, I am going to include much of his original post, with some differences and additions since I bought it:

Previous owner wanted move back to NA and RWD. The previous owner before him only had it a short time as well, but needed to focus on his SCCA race program.

Comes, all books, manuals, both keys and with a very detailed spreadsheet of records going back to the original owner. I believe I am the 5th owner. It lived in Florida for the first 6 years and 50k of its life. Then Texas and Oklahoma before coming to Chicago in 2016. He had it shipped up there and it lived in the garage until April. In Chicago it never see snow or salt and he said he tried not to drive it in the rain too often. Since 2009, it has seen about 2000 miles a year on average.

The exterior is in very good shape but not perfect. Overall the car is in excellent condition and you can tell that every owner did their regular paint care. There are two almost imperceptible eraser sized dents, one on the A-pillar and one on the front fender. Both hard to notice unless you are looking for them. Also some chips on the lower passenger side towards the rear. After I bought it, a sticker on the passenger side door pulled some clear coat with it when removed, so I just had the passenger door repainted and blended into the front fender. I found the best shop in my region and they did an excellent job. I know this because they did it twice, since the first time wasn't up to my standards. I'll included all receipts of work and can show as much detail as needed. It really looks flawless, even close up.

There are two large folders of receipts, including everything I've done to the car.

Attached is a snap shot of the PPI report [the previous owner] received before [he] purchased it. [He] did replace the center radiator and was told the leaks were very minor on the spoiler. The spoiler still operates perfectly, but now occasionally lights up on the dash saying it needs attention.

Type 1 over-revs – 32787 – Software increases the rpm limit
Type 2 over-revs – 459

Countless threads out there about this subject that the previous owner read intensely and decided it was not a big deal. I obviously agreed with him!

I have tried to include everything I know about this turbo. That said, inspections, questions and more questions are highly welcome!
