Heres why:
After further investigation and working with several buyers, it appears the lack of 60k maintenance (1600-1800 w/labor) became an issue for most. In addition, the car has an aftermarket exhaust and no O2 sensors because it's catless. Lastly, there is a small valve cover gasket leak. The car was inspected thanks to another potential buyer. The car is healthy and good to go but has no emissions equipment, had some paint work (no body work) on the front along with painting the lip. Brakes are also going to need replaced according to the Porsche inspection place.
For sale here is a very nice, garage kept 1996 Carrera 4S in yellow. Car has a near flawless interior, great leather and is in overall great condition. This car is part of a collection and hardly gets driven anymore. The tires seem to have some flatspotting and the right front axle needs replaced. The DME was just replaced as well. Car is in great shape, with only some MINOR curbage on one wheel. Only mods are yellow tinting with the headlights, which can quickly and easily be removed if your not into it.

Only reason for sale is to liquidate some less driven cars to fund a business venture.
UPDATE- I am fitting the car with brand new Z rated tires today. The tires had some flat spotting and only about 50%, so I yanked them. We are also detailing the car. The drivers mat has gotten dirty as you can see in the pic. They are getting all cleaned up. This is a NICE car for someone.
