Default Spyder Exhaust

Category: Engine - Exhaust
Price (no $ sign please): $500
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (select ONLY those which apply): 987, Cayman
Location (Region): NorthEast
Item Condition: Used

Spyder cat-back exhaust with Spyder/R tips for sale. Taken off of 2011 Boxster Spyder with 20,000 miles.

It's been said these exhausts are wider and therefore responsible for the extra 10 hp compared to Boxster S (320 vs. 310) or Cayman S (Cayman R's 330 vs. 320).

Exhaust fits 987.2 only (not 987.1 or 986).

$500. PM me if interested. Buyer pays shipping and PayPal fees.

I'm interested but have question on fitment.
Will this fit a 2009 Cayman with the 2.9L engine? It is a 987.2 but not an 'S'

thanks,

Would there be much difference in the exhaust note from the base model exhaust to this exhaust? My son wants to replace his exhaust (looking for a more aggressive sound) but can't afford the aftermarket choices. Also, would anyone know if replacing the exhaust from one OEM to another OEM cause any fault codes to appear?

No fault codes from changing exhausts. However, I don't think there will be much of a sound difference in your son's case. I suggest looking for a used aftermarket exhaust here or elsewhere.

The Vetman

To give you a heads up. The Spyder exhaust is the same as all Boxster S exhausts.

Only the cayman R came with the larger diameter pipes.

If if you look at the pipe on your exhaust by the flange where it meets the catalytic converters, you will see how it steps down to a smaller diameter. The Cayman R does not .

Hope it helps,
Al Z
