I have receipts for all of my OEM purchases and upgrades, and prior owner’s upgrades
Almost all non-original parts are Porsche OEM parts, either RS, Euro, or period-correct options
Enthusiast owned, fastidiously maintained, tastefully modified, the car is a joy to drive:
- Throttle response is sharp
- Engine pulls strong
- Shift action and feel are tight
- Steering and handling is crisp and responsive
- Ride is firm and sporty but not harsh
- Stops on a dime
Known issues:
- Carfax shows one “accident.” A driver bumped into the rear reflector panel and broke it, scratching the rear bumper. I had the reflector replaced and replaced the stock bumper cover with an OEM Euro turbo rear bumper cover. No prior accidents.
- Prior owner installed after-market boxed rockers that required cutting a 2 inch by about 12 inch strip length-wise out of the side of the rocker sheet metal. I had the after-market boxed rockers removed, purchased turbo rocker panels and had pieces cut out and welded-in by a Porsche specialist restoration shop. No visible sign of the repair.

Fr3sh, I do have the original driver's seat carefully stored in great condition. I have only been using the RS/CS hardback for about a year. The prior owner invested a lot in the air conditioning, and it does blow cold on high. It's a subjective thing, but I don't know if I would describe any European car's air conditioning of this vintage as "super" cold. I seldom use it in the Pacific Northwest.

Looks like a lotta love and $ to make this great car even greater, nicely done! I've never known of a AWD conversion back to RWD but i can understand why someone would want that, do you have the invoices on that job? I'm curious how much that costed is why i ask. GLWS someone is gonna get a beautiful machine oh and the price IMHO seems very fair considering all the tasteful mods. Last question, are the seats Recaros or ?

mrsystems, I have the receipt for the RWD conversion and can dig it up. It was done by the prior owner more than six years ago, so like everything else it is probably more expensive now. My recollection is that it was around $2k. If I end up keeping it, it will be converted back to AWD, but it will be sold as RWD with the parts to convert it at the buyer's discretion. The driver seat is an authentic Carerra RS sport bucket in leather, with the shell painted in body color Porsche Schwartz paint. I bought it out of Germany from a shop that took it out of the passenger side of an RS. I don't know why it was removed. It did not come with mounting hardware, so I bought all OEM manual RS seat mounting hardware from Porsche. The seat is very comfortable (to me). I have used it on several long drives. If the new owner prefers the stock seat, I may keep the RS seat and sell it separately, though the market for a single RS seat may be limited to other fanatics like me.
