Default WTB 997.2 S MT

In the market for a 997, preferably a gen 2. My preferences on options etc. are
1, guards red or black exterior with black or beige interior
2. Miles below 50,000
3, manual transmission
4, sport seats, sport pasm, short shifter, moonroof delete

I know I won’t check all the boxes but MT and guards red or black I am pretty set on. I’d prefer a 997.2 S or 4s but if the right 997.1 pops up I wouldn’t say no. I found a beautiful guards red 997.2 S listed on holtmotorsports.com but I feel the price is a bit high and just outside of what I’d like to spend. I’m thinking I should be able to find a nice example with miles in the 25-30k range for around 60k or less.

wely324,

I believe this is what you're after, no? It's a decent price with the miles you want in black with sport chrono and 6-speed:

This is what you're looking for but I'm sure it's up there with what Tim Holt is charging:

Here's are some nice cars if you're a bit flexible on your finishes, miles, etc.:

I know these aren't what you're looking for but I figured maybe somebody wants a driver?

These cars are awesome, especially given they're still somewhat reasonably priced (for now)...

GLWS!

The first car does interest me, but the dark grey leather is a question. I was really looking for black on black and the pictures provided are not the best.
I had a guards red with dark grey interior but I'm not so sure how'd I like it in a black car.

Looks like the Tim Holt guards red is pending sale.... the more I look, the more I realize guards red might be hard to find with the right options.

Yup,

I think it's going to be tough to find EXACTLY what you want for a minimal investment.

But, if that's what you really want, then by all means, hold out for it.

The 997.2 has reached the bottom of the depreciation curve and is on its way up.

GLWS!

Here's another example but I know it's not the exterior finish you are looking for.

BUT, it's easy to keep looking good cause it's not a dark finish:

Low miles and from an enthusiast...

definitely a beautiful car, and somewhat local to me. I think I need to prioritize what is important to me and then go from there.

I used to think exterior finish was the most important box to check... Not so much anymore.

This car in Jersey seems like a great low mile car and the seller has multiple cars so it appears to be a good find (on the surface at least).

GOOD LUCK!
