Speaking from personal experience, I highly recommend this part. It improves the sound 100% over stock. I use the sharkwerks bypass combined with Fister mufflers on my 997.2 and the sound is intoxicating, but using this part alone with the OEM mufflers will be a huge improvement with absolutely no droning. This is how the car should sound. If I didn't already have it, I'd buy it.

Thanks - I wasn't aware of the special when I ordered mine. That's definitely a great deal.

I'm certainly willing to consider offers, but as mine is barely used (and this is not exactly a part that wears) I just can't go as low as $500.

No because a 997.1 doesn't have a center muffler that "needs" to be replaced by this part. It replaces the center muffler on a 997.2.

Used ....The second you install this on a car it is used...As long as it is not cracked or dented it will perform exactly as new...no difference. These are a great mod...even for cars with with PSE! GLWS OP.

Thank you Swoody.
Agreed; also when I tested the FVD M&M Brombacher mufflers with the bypass, even they benefitted from having the center muffler bypassed.
