Default heads up from an owner

I had one of these installed in Nov' 12 and the laser shifters have thrown false alarms on a regular basis. I don't recommend this product. The the K band alert has saved my bacon 2x but the laser shifters are useless IMO. For the record, the false alarms occur when transitioning from shade to sunlight while on the gas hard. Often occurs on back country 2 lane roads with no one nearby. Strongly doubt this has anything to do with cell towers. I'm 100% certain that no cops have been in the area when they've gone off. I've actually stopped the car on the road and gotten out to look around. Installer is aware with no resolution to date. Install cost a small fortune and I regret doing it.

The only detector that works nearly 100% of the time is the "brass pass"...

Can you take a video to share with the class.

If you want i can call Escort and see what they say?. I know i had a situation similar with a LIDATEK Years ago and we just had the sensors hook up wrong. Sometime you have to make sure the all the CJ-22 jacks are plugged in right.

Even could make a video or their "offical answer"

One thing can you take a picture and post where the front laser are mounted could be a simple fix

I haven't seen anything defend against laser. Accept a jammer. Edit: just realized this unit offers a laser jammer as well.

I've been away from the radar detector conversation for a while, but back in the day, when I bought my 993, V1 was the thing to have. Now researching again, now that I bought a 997 GTS. Escort Passport 9500ix seems to be highly rated, but at 1/3 the price. I know I'm missing something, just don't know what.

I'll be visiting my boat in MDR today, maybe I'll stop by and you can educate me.
