Default FS: 997.2 3.6L engine (Long Block)

Category: Engine - Complete
Price (no $ sign please): $12500
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Location (Region): NorthEast
Item Condition: Used

For sale:
997.2 (9A1 type) 3.6L engine, in Long Block form.
(Long Block means complete engine bottom end with cylinder heads, but without intake manifold, exhaust, and belt-driven accessories, as shown in the photos)
This Long Block was removed from a perfectly running 2010 997.2 Carrera4 with only 15K miles on it, at the time. 95% of the those are street miles. 5% track miles in novice run group. No over revs since this car has PDK. Was running perfectly. The reason it was taken out of the car and offering for sale is because we put a larger displacement engine in the car for faster acceleration at the request of the car owner.

$12,500. Local pick up only please(Baltimore, Maryland area). Or we can palletize the engine with buyer arrange freight service.

(Update- 07/26/2017. Price drop to $9500! Must Sell.)

Note: Image of the odometer was taken 2K mile after the new engine was installed. The decision of selling the 3.6L Long Block wasn't made until after 2K miles was put on the new engine. Sorry for the discrepancy.

Not sure since I don't work on Subaru's. I suppose with custom fabrication one could "shoe horn" it in. But I have no experience with cross-brand swap.

I haven't transplanted a 997.2 engine to a .1 so I don't know what all is needed. For starters a .2 ECU and wiring harness. Unless someone makes a PFI intake manifold to fit a DFI engine...

Price reduced to $9900! Possibly a nice upgrade for a 987.2 Cayman S or Boxster S to 3.6L.
