What makes this a race engine? Was it built differently? Has the power been increased? I'm looking for "affordable" engine replacement options for my 997s (3.8)
Is it a full engine or just a long block? (Nothing attached)

Has any of the internals been upgraded?
Who was the builder of this engine?
What redline where you set at?

I am the guy with the 997 and the blown motor that is trying to sell the shell.
Problem is it is an 997-"S" with a blown motor! I'm not sure about downgrading it to a 3.6 unless the 3.6 was something special.
Is the engine a 997.1 or a 997.2
Has any work been done on the engine? Upgraded IMS, Chain tensioners, headwork, rods etc...

Was this used in your cayman?

At that price someone should buy it as a spare... no need to spend $$ on future extended warranties.
