You might get better "eyeball" response if you change the thread title to indicate [GT3 "style" wheels for widebody cars], or something similar since your rear wheel offset does not work with GT3 chassis.

Actually what these are a mix of GT3 Mk1 and Mk2 wheels. The fronts are from a Mk1 and the rears are from the Mk 2.

996 GT3 wheels came in the following sizes:

1- 8" x 18" - ET50 - Fits the front of any 996
2- 8.5" x 18" - ET40 - Fits the front of any 996
3- 11" x 18" - ET 45 - Fits the rear of a widebody 996
4- 11" x 18" - ET63 - Fits the rear of any 996 and widebody 996 w/spacer
5- 12" x 18" - ET45 - Fits on the rear of 996 GT2 only

Standard wheels for a 2004 GT3 are:
Front: 8.5J X 18 offset 40 mm
Rear: 11J X 18 offset 63 mm

996 Cup:
the cup cars use 9j and 11j x 18 and their offsets are 46.5 and 59 respectively

No, they don't. As I stated in the previous post, these appear to be a "mix" of GT3 wheels from the first and second gen. The fronts are 8J x 18 ET50 from the front of a narrow body 996 GT3 and the rears are 11J x 18 ET 45 from the rear of a widebody 996 GT3.

The fronts should fit any 996 but the rears would only fit the narrow body car with some accommodation.

once again, to clarify. These fit widebody, ie Turbo/c4 (which is what they were on)

they also fit boxtster/cayman.

Im going to post another ad with a little more clarification.

Just wanted to mention, I have successfully used wheels with this same spec (solid C4S 18x8/11 twists) on my 1999 Carrera 2 which is a narrow body. My car also has H&R Sport springs and I experience no rubbing. The rear wheels sit flush to the fender lip.

Sold twists on C4S had a 63 offset, not a 45 et. Looking at mine right now. So not the same as these, though I suspect they would fit an NB car anyways.

These rears will absolutely not fit a boxster 986. I doubt they would fit an 987 either.

Semantics.. the rear wheels pictured on my 1999 c2 are 18x11 et45. Same spec as what he's selling, different wheel, but apples to apples.

Here's a simple test: if you are able to successfully add 18mm spacers on 63mm offset wheels, with proper clearance in all driving situations, you should be able to eliminate the spacers and directly bolt on 45mm offset wheels of the same width.

In reality, not all of our (99X and 98X) cars have that much wheelwell clearance.

Sounds like you have NB twists -- C4S solid spokes should have a 45 ET just like Turbo hollows.

On the widebody cars, Sport Technos (also a 63 offset) came from the factory with 17mm spacers.

My solid widebody twists. 18x11 et45 were on my 1999 Carrera 2 NB with no issues.
