Mg more brittle than aluminum. I'd guess Porsche version is heavier to try and address durability with more material in certain areas.

I hit the mother of all potholes today going about 40mph trying to avoid a squirrel … no issues at all. I have meatier tires on the 20” though. Also to your previous question I absolutely noticed an improvement over stock in acceleration and turn in response. Lightweight wheels make a difference.

SupremePower you're mistaken about the weights of the WP wheels. I weighed mine, they are the same weight as you've quoted for the WEC wheels.

Havent weighed the OE Mag wheel was going off what we had heard and thats why I put ~ approximately. Interesting! Thank you for sharing!

While that would imply there is no weight advantage by going BBS aftermarket compared to OEM Mag (too bad), it also implies there is no durability penalty by going BBS aftermarket (great)...

And it would have been more than surprising if the FI-R Alu rear rims were lighter than OEM Mags in the same size...
