I was looking at this one but decided I am after a C4S. She has 10 years of receipts, there was some paint work on the drivers door from incident at the porsche dealership but they repaired it. Good luck with search!

No I have not. Actually started looking also for a 997 targa, and had one good option, found on ebay out of state. Talked to the guy, was going to have a friend look at the car, and the guy went radio silent. His phone was disconnected as well. 2008 targa 4s 75k miles $35k. So I am also open to a 997. There seems to be a disconnect on prices advertised here and those out in the real world.

Seems like a big price increase to get a targa. Having my doubts about a targa if I have to pay an extra $10k for it. I looked/test drove an impeccable 2001 cabriolet with 60k miles, for $19.9k. The car looked almost perfect. New engine with IMS 2 years prior.
Part of the reason I am opening myself to a 997. No way I'd spend close to $30k (non-turbos) for a 996. I'm seeing some decent 997 for $5k more.
