I bought it second hand, so I cant really vouch for the process when these were new. There were only 1963 made for the world, and the US only received around 679 (many/most of which were PDK).

I posted earlier on my friends Black 50th, he was able to buy it off the showroom floor at the time, so at least here in Newport Beach no special allocation required at the time and I would add it was bit special as it was a 7 speed manuel like the car offered here.

Hey, I wasn't in the South Bay last weekend, more in Marin. I have seen a PDK doppelganger around the Bay, so maybe that was him.
