Here are some of the parts I have replaced over my two year ownership:

-Front tie rod boots
-Power steering suction and return hoses
-Ignition coil
-Distributor cap
-Spark plugs
-Injectors
-Fuel pressure regulator
-Coolant temp sensor
-Throttle position sensor
-Throttle body o-ring
-DME
-DME Relay
-Shifter linkage and bushings
-Ignition switch
-Fuel pump
-Battery
-Taillight upgrade
-Brake booster w/ new brake fluid
-Air flow meter
-Slave clutch cylinder
-Master clutch cylinder

This car needs a few things done to it but it still drives very well. The paint is not in the best condition and there are a few surface rust spots shown in the pictures. This car came from the northeast but doesn't have any rust on the rocker panels or structural areas. There is some surface rust but the galvanized steel construction of the car has prevented any problem areas from getting worse. The interior is in fairly good condition. There are some stains on the seats and the dash has been covered because of cracks. The carpet is in good shape as well as the back seats. The headliner is still good including the door panels. As is the case for most older cars, the AC does not work and I am not exactly sure what it would need to function. All of the gauges work and switches except for the driver's side switch that controls the passenger window which works intermittently. There is a short somewhere the I have not been able to locate because the low oil level light stays on even when the correct amount of oil shows on the dipstick. The left front turn signal also does not work and both the front left and rear left turn signals do not work when the headlights are on. The moonroof tilt switch works and I have the original carrying case for it. The newer aftermarket head unit works and all of the speakers still sound good. This is a non-smoker car. The brake rotors and pads will need to be replaced at some point in the future.

The original spare, tool kit, owner's manual, and a box of miscellaneous parts (new fuel filter, euro throttle cam, etc.) will be included. Some issues that need to be addressed but don't affect driving performance include: a rattling brake pad retaining clip (at low speeds) on the driver's side, a smaller sized rim (15"x6" instead of 7") on the rear (all tires are the same width) and there are some gas fumes after filling the tank more than three-quarters of the way. This is due to a deteriorated breather hose on the gas tank. The hatch is also reluctant to open because the latch pins need to be greased and readjusted. Those are the only oddball things I haven't gotten around to doing. All of the work on the car has either been done by myself, Zuffenhaus Eurowerks, or Black Forest Racing. Both are very reputable Porsche shops and I have included the paperwork from the repairs. Unfortunately, I have very little documentation from the previous owners. The previous owner did change the timing belt and balance shaft belt right before I had bought the car two years ago so they are still in good shape. NC title for the car is clean and in my name and the car recently passed inspection. The car doesn't have any leaks and drives well around town as well as on the highway. The Porsche 924S is very much a 944 at heart, sharing the same drive train and underpinnings but with a narrower body. 1988 is the last year of production and this is the last year this engine was offered with a power output of 158hp. This 30 year old car has never left me stranded on the side of the road since being used as my daily car for the past two years. I am hoping that by selling this car on an enthusiast site that it will go to a good home.

I am looking to get $3000 firm.

Cash payment is preferred
I am open to shipping the car within the US as long as the buyer covers the added cost
The car will be sold as-is and I will provide no warranty or technical support after the purchase of the vehicle (self-explanatory)
The car is listed locally and I may end the sale early if the car is sold
Don't hesitate to message me with any questions you might have

Video Overview:
The videos are a little older but the car is in very much the same condition.

Just drove a buddy's 924 race car at NJMP Thunderbolt on Tuesday. It's an SP1 build but he uses for AER. Have to say, it was hugely entertaining. Ample power, very lively and talkative steering, ability to slide the thing through corners without nutty speeds. Great time. Wish I had room for this nice looking 924 in my garage. Smile per dollar ratio is unbeatable.

Thanks, I'm sure this car would be even more fun to drive as a stripped out track toy.

Smile Still Available?

I'm looking to purchase my first Porsche, and this looks like a fine example that I would be able to keep up with, especially with the maintenance records included, I could just continue the work you've done! Where are you located, and how much do you think shipping would cost to the West Tennessee area?
