Except that there are Rs with both buckets and SMFW available at pricing close to this example.

Seat inserts look rather...nontraditional... unless that is what the 'special wishes' on the sticker indicates (which would be an interesting choice nixing the houndstooth which was one of the R tasteful differentiators).

Special wishes likely refer to $5k steering wheel with 12 o'clock marker. Don't think those inserts were a CXX option, but you never know. Not my cup of tea but easily rectified.

I dare someone to buy it, drive it less than 250 miles, and then return it within 5 days to get their money back (policy of the dealer). haha

Yup, I remember that. I bet a lot of those folks who bought the cars in the $400k-$500k thought it was going to be a great investment.....uhhhh, not so much. Heading closer to MSRP baby.

I need to stop watching 911R videos. Here's my favorite.

Sort of disheartening how there's no active 911R thread. When/if I find mine, I'll start one.

That's a cool video from Porsche, but this is my favorite from a journalist.

Ah yes, very familiar with this one too! Jason does a fantastic job. There are many cool ones.

Also, love the 'original' Evo intro with Henry Catchpole and AP.

And this one by Top Gear.

Another data point... A pristine, well-equipped and fully wrapped 911R in GT Silver with 2,400 miles sold for $280k. What would roughly be the amount to seller here?

(Aside: The 911R looks naked without top stripes.)

If the seller had a deal at Gooding and Company (which most do today) probably $265-$270k net

I think the upcoming Amelia Island auction for this 911 R would be very telling where the market is at, brand new car with the Monroney sticker still on the windshield, doesn't get any 'newer' than that...

WhatsApp's founder Porsche fleet for sale, some really pristine cars that were never driven (sadly)

The car at Gooding sold on the block for $250K plus 12% commission for a total of $280K. The seller would receive $250K less commission of 10% for a net of $225K. The car did have the full bucket seats and PCCB and there were plenty of Porsche buyers in the room. Perhaps these cars are going the same way as the GT3RS and even the GT3 Touring, namely a premium over the MSRP but not much more than 10 or perhaps 20%.

Thanks for sharing. Wow, those are nice collectors car with garage queen miles. I think I will fill up online application and see which ones I might snag.

Well, that de-escalated quickly...
