Hi Harry,
Yes, the changer will work with the CR-1 (that’s what I bought it for). Not sure about the Alpine, but many are compatible. The CD changer mounts neatly in the frunk. See this thread for photos of location. CD changer locus
What year 993 is the CDC-3CD Changer designed for? I assume this is an OEM Porsche CD changer?
Thanks again. The location is really helpful.

The CDC-3 is suited for all 993 models. Here’s a helpful installation thread from Pelican. CDC-3 installation thread Pelican
Cheers!

I just spoke with the guy who works on radios. He asked if:
1. If the CDC-3CD works on a buss connection?
2. Any photographs of the connection on the back of the CD changer?
3. Do you have the cable from the radio that attaches to the CDC-3CD changer.
The guy who works on radios offered to speak to you, since he knows what he's looking for. I can provide his telephone via PM so that you can speak. It may be more productive depending on the answers to the above questions. Please advise. Thank you.

Not to get too far off topic, but if this thread is correct then 17mm is the standard rear sway bar, 18mm is the MO33 option, and the MO30 sport is 20mm. Let's Talk Sway bars

Stripped interior, eh?
Here‘s a photo of the stripped interior without the dead pedal, and a photo with the dead pedal. It has me thinking about installing the dead pedal after all.
