Looking to sell my sons 86 944 Turbo. Overall good condition, with a few areas in need of some love. Exterior is in good shape, interior fair to good for its age. He’s in the Army, got shipped to Italy, and asked me to keep it for him. Had it since last August, and have been unable to get to it (back/neck problems). There’s a lot of work that went into engine upgrades, but not familiar with car. Have many records, and can help decipher what’s been done. He was veering towards a track/street route, so it’s got a few bits already.
Car is NOT running presently. Belt tensioner bolt loosened, and belt jumped a tooth. Got belt indexed, and timed correctly, but compression is lacking. Most likely needs valves done. Turns over, and rotates smoothly, just lacking compression to start. If someone wants a car that should be fairly simple, to turn into a track beast, or street tuner, this would be it.
