I was just sent this by Gianni's Dad. I think it's pretty cool little video. I wonder if he realizes just how lucky he is. .... I think he does . He gets to spend so much time around so many cool Porsche's. I'm jealous!

I think Porsche may have hit the nail squarely on the head with this one. A toy? Most definitely. But with all the "right" parts and options, an incredibly effective toy. I'll take a Black/Black example with red accents (black wheels with red lip please).
Thanks for the post!

Our club had our Christmas party this last weekend and Pete Stout showed up with this car and gave a short talk about it. I've not been a big Boxster fan but this was very nice. He came to Sacramento in the pouring rain and stayed very nice and dry.

Thanks Guys! I am glad you enjoyed it. I had a Boxster and it wasn't the car for me, BUT this one looks great, especially with the top up.
I also got a kick outta Jerry pulling over and waving his hands complaining about the gas truck that was ahead of them all blocking the road. I could swear that was Carmel Valley Road (one of my FAVORITES) and I've never seen a truck even attempt to drive down that narrow strip of roadway.
BTW : I don't think Speedy will ever be for sale Cactus.. WAAAAAY too much love there.....

It is nice to see Porsche doing something more hard core, but it just doesn't float my boat...at least from the pictures I have seen I don't think they went far enough.
They could loose the electric windows, the motorized mirrors...some carbon fiber doors would be nice too.
If it weighed in closer to 2500 pounds that would be impressive.

I, too, was wondering about the choice of building the whole video to highlight the moment you mention above. Reminds me of 1 brief moment while I chatted with Jerry at nearby Laguna Seca: a 'finely tuned' enthusiast. It's all good -- luv his taste in topless Porsches, especially his silver 993. ...which Gianni told me himself that he'd driven. So, lump me with you & those jealous of this young but mature man.Very well-done video for what may be a desktop/ laptop production, plus we get to see Gianni's dad's driving gloves!
Speedy sends Christmas (& Festivus) LOVE for the Spyder ... & the Cactus
