GT4 is progressing pretty good... Good sneak peak at what the 982 Spyder will borrow (front and rear bumpers/diffuser).

Wow, the front and rear aero has become MUCH more aggressive. Now that we are seeing a close look at the rear for the first time, I'm not really sure how I feel about it...definitely feel like the central exhaust placement looked better. That being said, the front looks really mean. That lower splitter element has a lot of GT2RS about it. Color me intrigued...I really hope the Spyder does some sort of ducktail again on the rear spoiler.

Keep in mind there is still a lot of tape covering some lines and creases on both bumpers. I also like the GT2RS lip. If the 981 is any indication, I doubt the Spyder will adopt it.

I'm surprised no center exhaust exit ala the Gt3,GT4,rs,911R...ect for all all NA GT cars.

Looks closer to the 991.2 Carrera exhaust.

Yeah obviously trying to work out from that what the engine is. Looks like the 991.2 turbo from the exhausts but we know that doesn't fit so maybe the turbo from the 718S but that has central pipes so what gives?!!

Everyone is reading too much into the Spacing. I think the 982 GT4/Spyder is a new spacing... Wider than the 991.2 Sports Exhaust, Narrower than the 991.2 Standard exhaust... It's neither.

Agreed

They've made more room for that central "venturi" or whatever. Still not sure how I feel about it aesthetically, but I am sure they have a good reason for doing.

Interesting that you point out perhaps the Spyder will get a more subtle version of that GT2RS front lip. It looks like that entire section of the bumper is a separate piece, so that is definitely plausible. I am much more invested in the Spyder anyway, so I actually hope the REAR aero is toned down on the Spyder...

As earlier indicated... There is a lot of tape/camo still hiding the finer details. This looks to be production bumpers and diffuser, but covered. Keep in mind they will more than likely add more stuff later (Side Scoops and possible different rear spoiler). The 981 GT4 didn't get the scoops until the debut... no test cars had them ever.

Wow... that front bumper is aggressive. The front looks awesome but that rear bumper configuration has to go.

True.

Still excited that the debut may come sooner than originally thought?

Is it my imagination or optical illusion or lack of details in the picture (or wishful thinking) that Spyder proto's rear tires seem somewhat similar to GT4's in terms of width? If the width is same, then we could be looking at a GT Spyder; or, at least the specs between the two could be identical!!

+1 I love the look of the front bumper but that rear looks weird. But I’ll reserve judgement until the final product is released.
