PF, so you used a GT to haul a 964???
How long did the GT's clutch last?
Aren't you looking at around 3,500 lb/1,585kg trailer and car - best case?
I'd love to see pics if you have them.
Did a head gasket. Debated pulling the engine as that's what a real man would do. Worked out well as all the cam tower bolts were torqued right and came loose easily. Didn't drop a bolt or washer inside the uppers. The 9 (9!) lower bolts are fiddly work ("maybe if I use the other hand and stand backwards...") but they came eventually.
The #1 hole was filled up. No clues on the gasket, head or block as to the reason for a failure. Looked pretty nice. It lasted 3 years at the track and blew a big cloud when getting back-off the trailer after the year's last event. Nice.
Cleaned it all up and put it back together. No problemo.
This on Twitter this morning. I am sure you know who Chris Harris is. He called ma a "git" when he was considering buying this after I ribbed him about already having one.
