if you dont care about the performance though, thats another statement and maybe you should save 130k and get a E30 M3?

no one cares about these numbers because they will use this car in a drag strip. these metrics are the only way to compare the performance of various cars

Exactly they should target that E30 feeling
my M4 competition is a surgery weapon but sadly far from that E30

Folks, instead of jumping all over the OP for his comparisons, he simply would like to know others' thoughts of the 991.2 GT3 manual vs. other manuals in comparison. Will it feel faster than a 997.2, GT350R, etc. I don't think he's trying to berate the purpose of the manual choice or its related driving emotion. It's just a casual comparison/contrast as to other modern manual sports cars in terms of seat of the pants feel.

Interestingly, on the USA site, Porsche lists the weight at 3,153 lb. before any configuration. However, the weight field under Technical Specifications disappears once you choose options like PCCBs. I'm curious what build represents the 3,153 lbs. If the stock car weighs 3,153 lbs., then opting for PCCBs & LWBs should drop that #.

3153lbs is for a PDK. 3116lbs is for a manual.

Based on how Porsche does weights it is the lightest spec available (PCCB, LWB), but since the GT3 does not have AC delete as an option and did not have radio delete when the specs were released that needs to be considered in comparing to a R or GT3RS or GT2RS.

The article states that On the day Lars Kern set his 7:12, Timo Kluck was 3 seconds slower in the MT than he himself had been in the PDK. It does not state which times Timo set.
