Your car has such a clean, uncluttered and aggressive look with it's wide body, reminds me of a 993S. As you can see for my avatar I have a ducktail on my 78 SC. Porsche though it was good enough for the 73 RS so you know it adds some stability, and I just think it looks more understated than with the whale tail or tea tray. I know a 78 SC never came with a ducktail, but who cares, I've be tinkering with cars my entire life, I'm not stopping now. Even my 09 997 turbo which is mechanically stock has a few visual tweaks.
Love the look of your SC by the way.

Looks vicious with the Ruf Wheels and that stance!
Really nice color.. we're doing a total nut & bolt resto on a very late RS that was originally that color. Can't wait to get to the paint stage!
I love the two stable mates.. kinda reminds me of mine. However w/Petrol Blue 930.. and like you Grigio 308
The Cab with hardtop.. friend of mine has that on his 505/Turbo cab.

Wow. Perfection. My false equivalency for my love of Porsche is that I was born at home with a midwife while my dad was putting himself through college as a Porsche mechanic. He had a '77 SC in this exact color and I was driven to the hospital in that car after being born.

Thanks for the comments. The 550 actually came for a Ferrari 550 Maranello I owned, back during the birth of all these sites, the name just stuck. It's the KISS concept at work....

If I was lucky enough to have a Beck 550 in my garage I'd be a happy guy, I already have one completely open air car (no top) but if I ever sold that one I'd get serious about looking. Light weight with a low polar moment of inertia makes for a dynamic driving experience.

Subaru power in that package must really be impressive, even without a turbo. I assume you can find an easy 225-250 hp which would require a built three liter 6 if you use Porsche power. I'll bet you get some turned up noses at a Porsche event. I know how that is, I have a 32 Ford roadster with a Lexus V-8. Can't tell you how often people look at the motor that clearly says Lexus and then ask, it that really a Lexus?
