Default Unusual 1:43 scale "928 Spyder" Model

So I obtained this model from a friend many years ago, and just came across it. At the time I didn't own a 928, and didn't give it much thought except for the fact that it is hand made ("scratch built" written on the underside). It was made (carved?) by someone named Dale W. King, and it appears to be a fantasy 928 Spyder with a single person cockpit. It is a deep red with platinum manholes -extremely well made and with rich paint. Here are some pictures. Anyone know anything about this modeler?

No - But it looks like the offspring of a 928, a 944 S2 and a D-Type Jaguar.

Of course a mirror was involved too.

The Jaguar looks way cooler though!
