Default Wait is over...weight is in...2168lbs.

Weight is in! Time was made over the weekend to start the final prep on Widerstandsfahig 001 before testing. Making the minimum weight for the X prepared class with this chassis seemed almost impossible given the rule set. Certainly, adding four more cylinders and massive tires didn't help the struggle. Based on the displacement, the minimum weight goal was 2226lbs....
Absolutely stoked to see 2168lbs!!
The front to rear distribution is not the best but a nice roll bar will help that out, and get the car to minimum weight.
Two separate sets of weights are displayed. The heavier set includes fuel and driver ballast added.

I feel ya man.

The scales are the moment of truth when you had a target.

I finished up a 944 Spec racer with a goal of 2400#, 2650 with driver, safety.

Popped on the scales for the first time, 24 zero zero.

I couldn't even believe myself....

I followed some of your thread somewhere.

Congrats.

I'm on another car now that needs to be 2200#, 2400# with driver.

Gutted stock doors, fiberglass front fender and hood...., it's gonna be tough but I am probably running stock NA brakes and either 16 inch phone dials/tires or some light Fikse 17s.

Good luck on the first competitive outing.

You earned it.

Thank you for the comment!

It's been a long, enjoyable road. Of course, I'm very excited to start testing.

On behalf of myself and all the others that have benefited from your 944 knowledge over the years, Thank you for your input.

Best of luck with your newest build!
