Four years ago today I spent my first full day in a Cayman, my first Porsche. I had been struck a month prior with the thought "Every guy should own a Porsche at least once." Facebook reminded me of my trip up Mount Palomar that day. Four years ago tomorrow, I headed back east with it.

It was to be just a two-year experience, then switch to some other indulgence. Not necessarily a car - I was thinking fondly about a Bobcat.

The Cayman is gone, but I now have three Porsches. My favorite will always be the 928 I got three years ago. It's a car with which you will establish an intimate relationship. It's the focus of a community of special people.

I had a great time putting on Camp 928 last June. Construction has begun in earnest on the Camp 928 Clubhouse. Anyone in the vicinity is welcome to stop by and shoot a few nails into it.

I agree with you about the 928 and it's community...both great.

Can't wait for Camp 928 - II !
