Default LWB Bolster Cap Grip Replacement

Hey guys.. I just picked up a great 2016 GT3 but the bolster cap is cracking pretty bad on the drivers side seat. Suncoast has the replacement part for $380 and I'm guessing Porsche will just classify it as normal wear and tear? Has anyone done this fix? Seems like it would just pop off and on but before I screw something up I figured I'd check here. The part I'm talking about is in the pic below...

you can get leather covers with matching stitching color from Crazy Eddie---I have them on both LWB's in my GT3 & GT4...looks like how Porsche should have made them from the factory

I'll probably pick those up once I swap this one out. It's pretty bad...cracking and about to tear. Funny thing is I had buckets in my GT4 for 8000 miles and they were flawless. Guys need to learn to get in and out of the car without rubbin' !

There's also double sided tape under the bolster cap.
But just save 380.- and remove the both of them. The seat looks like it should be and it's
easier to sitting down and getting out of the car as well.

Bumping an old thread -- curious if anyone figured out how to easily remove the bolster grip?

Same here, struggling to get it off. Just wouldn't budge.
