The rules for creating an “outlaw” version of a vehicle are fairly simple – first, the quality level of adjustments made must remain true to the brand. Second, the car must still be a street car, not just a track car. Third, there must be a clear level of simplicity to the car – all the unnecessary items, such as carpet insulation, center consoles, stereos, etc., must be stripped to make the car lighter. It’s this latter point where the subtle nuances of what truly makes a car an “outlaw” car are often discussed.
