Default Vermont by Carrera

Well, I managed to sneak away with my Graphite Blue Metallic 991.2 to one of my favorite places on the planet:

With loads of gorgeous little greens and churches...

And this gorgeous, not-so-little gorge (Queechee).

Uncovered a bunch of super-cool old bridges...

And even bumped into a long-lost cousin or two.

Stopped at Woodstock's Faulkner Park for a hike...
And climbed Mount Tom (on foot...had to leave this baby behind).

Played a sweet nine holes here...
And then ran into this old girl in Hartland. A well-preserved (overhauled, actually) 1966 Saab 96 in whaddyaknow...the Swedish version of Graphite Blue Metallic.

I grew up in the back seat of one of these. My Dad had a white one with houndstooth, horsehair-stuffed seats.

They look like they're related, no? Thanks to Jeff from the Autobarn for hanging and talking rides.

48 hours in Vermont with my Carrera. Good for the soul. Thanks for travelling along!

You suck My '18 991.2 C2S is waiting at the dealership and I'm out of the country for 3 weeks.

Nice picks and you're making me jealous.

I am headed to Vermont in 10 days for NE road trip. Was planning on picking up Rt 100 in Wilmington and taking it up to Stowe. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Road wise, you literally can't go wrong. Rte 100 is beautiful. Rte 12 (more east) is also a delight. You can travel up one and back down the other. And 89/91 are superb highways if you want to travel at speed.

Since I was just there, Worthy Kitchen in Woodstock is fun and delicious. You order cafeteria style but it's all cooked to order and excellent. If they have the Korean BBQ burrito, go for it.

Stowe has plenty of places to dine. I'd just check trip advisor.

FWIW, great to just explore roads and zigzag up the state, but be forewarned: much of Vermont is unpaved dirt or packed gravel, especially off the numbered blue highways. Not sure how you feel about taking your PCar off-roading. So just be aware that sometimes there's a conveneient cut through or gap road between where you are and where you want to go. Just be aware that it might be dirt.

One gap road that's paved is the notch road up through Mt Mansfield (I think it's 105/Mountain Road). Haven't driven it in a few years but it's a great road. Takes you down through Smuggler's Notch. Enjoy!

I'm from the east coast and miss the foliage. Looks awesome. All those Vermont trees dropping sap would make me one paranoid p car owner though. PPF and Ceramic pro please.

I saw you on RT 4 in Woodstock with my dad. Lots of familiar places. I live between worthy kitchen and taftsville covered bridge.

I hope you didn't meet our ticket happy Woodstock police department.

That's funny Mike. Thankfully, I didn't get any tickets, but I did make a U-turn out of a parking space in front of People's Bank right near the town green, and the, um, friendly public safety officer across the street wagged both finger at me and shook his head in a "that's not allowed!" gesture. I didn't see any no-U-turn signs, and afterwards even googled it. http://legislature.vermont.gov/statu...n/23/013/01062 Sounded like a legit turn to me!
