New Front Fender Liners: Mod to the vent slats
I just pulled my front bumper to clean my radiators this last weekend and think it's time to replace the front fender inner liners. Years of scrapes and miles have taken their toll.
My car has always been a California car and only half of the radiator vent slats are open. Has anyone modded these vents to aid in cooling?

Very interesting. I wonder if some members from other countries can chime in and tell us if their cars have the same fender liners. I wonder if certain export regions have fewer or more of the vents open, depending on their climates.

That's why I'm asking. I'd heard S much and only about half of the slots are open on mine. The rest have the plastic still connected.

On the Rolex GT Porsche cars...they mostly used GTS cars in 2011-2013...before that Carrera S...the teams would cut out the slats and screw in a wire mesh...so yeah they'd open this all up.

can someone post a picture of the USA cars fender liner with the slats for comparison?

Ahah. So it looks like all of your vents are open. Mine only has about half of them.

That might be true but for those of you that are DD and that have winters, aren't you going to be slinging snow/ice/salts onto those slats? I realize that there's positive air pressure coming out of them as a function of the radiator fans but still.
Maybe as someone has already suggested, you should install some kind of mesh to mitigate that possibility.
