Default Small Car World

This week I was doing some consulting in Portland. Meeting some of my buddy's (CEO) team and during the small talk one of the ladies mentioned she's into cars. Professionally, I get tired of playing along when people say like cars and by that mean... "My kia has eyelashes on the headlights" or something as dumb. Not real gear heads.

This time was different. This lady knew the type of exhaust on her car, the specs, new car stuff, old car stuff, etc. Then she mentioned Volvo's and my interest was really peaked. Mentioned her husband worked at IPD for some time. This was "THE" place for real Volvo performance parts and expertise. Not as blingy as others but their stuff was made well and everyone loved it. Some of their competitors made crap and hyped it like crazy.

Anyway, her husband is Scott Hart. I know Needsdecaf knows his name. IPD had the first turbo upgrade for the 2004-2007 S60R/V70R. Took the 300hp to ~450bhp before tinkering and blueprinting the engine. I had the first consumer owned S60R with an aftermarket turbo in north America and only one for years. Scott Designed and sold me the kit after using for his own car for publicity. This was ~10 years ago and we started texting. He remembered right away.

Love these communities and I've already met some great friends in person over the past 2 years in participating in this 991 forum!

Very cool. When I lived in Portland, I took my wife's V70R to Scott at IPD for an upgraded exhaust and ECU. Really woke up that wagon. IPD was definitely a quality organization.
