I bought a set of 4 18" sport cup wheels and Pirelli Sottozero II winter tires for my C4S from Tire rack last fall. They came without center caps and my summer tires/wheels are 19" factory alloys. The silver center caps look goofy on the black wheels, so I called Tire rack and tried to buy a set of 4 black (crested or non, doesn't matter for snow tires) center caps. They told me they were not made and are only available in silver. Really? Google has not been my friend and I'm drawing a blank. Suggestions?

Also, I'd like to put studs on it instead of the lug bolts. Any recommendation on which brand to go with? Thanks,

Try eBay. I bought black center caps with a silver Porsche crest for around $20 or so. The other option is to use plastidip on the silver caps- looks Ok, but not great.

Rennline for Stainless stud kit and I think World Motorsports might have a Ti one. If you'll be doing a lot of track days where you'll be pulling your calipers to change pads, Rennline also makes a stud and nut kit for your calipers so you don't keep threading bolts into the aluminum wheel carrier.

Yep, I basically got similar, but my crest is silver instead of gold.


Tip- I noticed after a few weeks that the shield has a plastic sticker over it. I removed it and sprayed with clear gloss plastidip to protect the shield.

Tip#2- for the **** retentives- when you install, make sure the pointed part of the crest points towards your valve stems.
