Default Brake Fluid

My local P-car dealer and trusted indy have different preferences in re. brake fluids. Both agree that brake system flush/fill should be done every two years along with the clutch system.

Assuming the car is strictly a "street" car (meaning no track time contemplated), what brand fluid and DOT rating is recommended?

Thanks in advance.

ATE Type 200 or Pentosyn Super DOT4 are popular ones. For a street car about any good DOT 4 will be fine. Some of the racing fluids require more frequent change interval such as Motul 600/660 so for a street car stay away from those.

Here's a guide to what ATE offers (Super blue is no longer sold in the USA though):

I am running the Pentosyn super dot 4 in my 996 currently.

Any known brand DOT4 should be good for street driving, even aggressive street driving

+1 for the ATE 200 in a street car.

We sell the RBF600 as we use it in our tracked vehicles.

Or you feel like being fancy we have the stuff in the Porsche bottle!
