true value of PTS

I think to most PTS s a labour of love, an expression of passion and individuality, I hope all of you who want it get it. Some people think it is a way to get more money by flipping, those of you I hope you never get it as you are not worthy

100% agree. PTS would be worth a lot to me if I could choose it - I want to own a Gulf Blue GT3 at some point. I've never had the chance. Would be zero about resale and all about my experience in the car.

I am not happy about how Porsche handled PTS overall. In the 991.1 GT3, racing yellow was a PTS whereas GT4 was standard. Now chalk was just a special color where it could totally be a PTS for some other car. The graphite blue could be a PTS too. Why is chalk ($4000) more expensive than graphite blue ($800)? How about carmine red?
Now the PTS allocation for .2 GT3 has been pushed down to May next year. I may just go straight to a non PTS color. But my friend keeps yapping about how rare PTS is and it is good for the value. I don't know. What do you think? My dealer gives me till Monday to make up my mind, either non-PTS and take the December allocation with delivery in April, or go with PTS but the allocation is 2018 May with delivery in August.

Once enough people feel the burn, the hype will subside and PTS will go back to being about wanting a specific color vs. doing it with hopes to sell for $100k over what you paid.
