They're responding to a demand. Porsche's biggest market is no longer the US - it's China, and the best selling Porsche - the Cayenne. So - if you're a Chinese maker of gee-gaws - it's a good domestic market item - plus then you have the world market. There are many things made in China for the Cayenne on Aliexpress - some are simply ghastly, some are kind of cool. Some are very subtle:
