2wd or 4wd 911 - Pros and Cons of Different Drivetrains

yes but the GTS all have the wide body.
I was very much debating this issue, as I'd like a car that is semi-DD as well as a weekend fun car.
I live in Maryland so we get all weather.
The cost of the AWD is not trivial and (likely) I will have a 2nd, 3rd car which will be a Subaru wagon or MDX (which we have as everyday cars now).
I did live with both M3 (V8) and S2000 (no traction control at all) both with snow tires,. Sio I am quite aware that RWD in cold and rain is not a big deal.
However the above examples were not an option at all.
I'm right now 50:50 between the two choices.

here is something interesting, the next M5 will be AWD with a mode that completely turns off the AWD making it effectively a RWD car. IOW it's the best of both (except the cost and weight of the AWD).
It would be nice if Porsche was able to limit the AWD ability to send power to the front, I was reading on the forum where a member disconnected the shaft to the front of course that was a project. It would be nice if software/hardware was able to do that as likely I would opt for that so the fun weekend sunny day would be an option as well as AWD for wet drives.

According to German BMW site BimmerToday, owners of the F90 M5 will be able to toggle between all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive by hitting a button.
