Very interesting car at a fair price and with a nice Le Mans history. These 996 GT3 “R” cars represent the true sweet spot in the heyday of Porsche's 911 racing heritage, with wins in the 24 hour races at Le Mans (7 times), Daytona (6 times), Spa (5 times), Nürburgring, and GT championships in FIA, ALMS, and Grand Am racing series. But they're also quite expensive to restore and operate, so not for the faint of heart or slim of wallet.

Update on this 2003 GT3 RS - We had all the original Le Mans graphics installed and ran the car at the 2019 Sonoma Speed Fesival in June. Fantastic car! Took 2nd place chasing Kevin Buckler around the track. He was driving the other 2003 GT3 RS they raced that year (over-all Daytona winner!). I figured a few seconds off Kevin's pace at his home track wasn't too bad as he was the original driver of our car at Le Mans with Timo Bernhard and Jorg Bergmeister and was on pole at this track in 2003 when the cars were new. He was also running a 4.0L motor and beating his pole time at this event. Good times. No longer a garage queen.
