Okay Mooty, you win. I can't keep up with that. My measly 85kms today is probably just a warm up for you.
I'm sure you have more marks on your body than your cars. Take care of yourself, we don't want to lose you.

Boys... put on some knobby tyres and go MTB riding instead. Least then the injury story can be accompanied by graphic descriptions how steep or big the jump, cliff edge drop, narrow ledge.. precursor being if it was a black, double black run..to set the scene.
Sounds much more manly.

Pick your poison. Going down on a road descent at 30-40mph or the same in dirt with trees and rocks to help score the body as you tumble. Either way, you're getting hurt.
Back riding again post accident and it's awesome. Have to give up MTB for a while though as the shock to a torn rotator cuff is not good. Anyone need a nice Trek Fuel in PTS gulf blue? Could you imagine if you went on the MTB forums only to find all the owners were buying them to put on stands and wait for them to go up in value? It would be like...

Why pedal a bike for hours on end? Honest question. Can't be for fun?

Hugely fun. Tons of adreneline and endorphins. Plus for us type A's the satisfaction of competing whether against the clock, yourself or others.
For me, when cycling, i get a similar feeling to when I'm tracking. My mind quiets and all the crap going on in my life melts away. I'm purely focused on what i'm doing and enjoying that moment. Wish I had started riding years ago.

Nice road rash mooty. It looks like shaved legs really do help reduce the rash. I thought that was just for weight savings And using coke to stop the bleeding, nice. You're making me miss my road bike.

You guys have some funny looking looking bikes..?
Mine is completely different, has squishy parts all over it and knobby tires for running over things..
You guys should get with the off road program.. At least the trees are stationary, unlike pick-up trucks and BMW's...
