Default Seat options for the 996

I had recaro pole positions in my 996 turbo when I bought my car but thought they were a bit too snug (for my 6'2", 240lb athletic frame) and too aggressive for street driving. I'm not tracking my car.

I went to sport seats and they've been fine...until I started pushing the car more. I now realize I'd like a bit more hold as I'm don't feel planted enough in the sport seats while cornering aggressively. Probably should have kept the Recaro's. Anyhow, I'm researching alternate seat options now and could use some help...

After hours of research, it seems like there are a lot of very inexpensive or crappy seat options...and then very expensive OEM options.

Can you guys help provide opinions on what you think could be the highest quality, most comfortable, aggressive-sport-minded (not necessarily track oriented) seats available for the 996? I'm hoping to stay in the $5 - 6k range all in and would prefer leather/alcantara options, if possible.

Thoughts?

THANK YOU!

I was considering the Sportster too but it's not all that much more supportive than OE sports.
The Profi XL for street and track might fit you well, I was going to go that direction, then found a nice set of elephant ears.

Thanks, the Profi XL would be a consideration, if they had other material options.

Looks like I found a pretty mint set of elephant ears as well. From all accounts thus far, it seems I'd fit in them? Thoughts on fitment in those GT3 euro buckets?

I'm 6'1, 195 with a 34 inseam and the GT3 bucket bolted to the floor with one of these is perfect:

I recently installed the Recaro topline sport seats (black leather/black alcantara) and love them. I only track my car several days a year.

I am 6'2 ish with a small torso about 175 and the Pole Positions fit me well. They are very comfortable, but I could see how they may be a tighter fit for larger non bean pole people. I was either going Profi SPG or Profi XL. Happy with my choice however as they are super comfortable for me. That being said I would probably have looked at some Recaro Sportster CS if I wanted more street comfort.

Are you tightening and locking the seat belt?

I got some GT3 buckets that apparently come with BK/Recaro brackets, bases/sliders...

Would this be the BK adapter option I'd likely need?

Or do you suggest going with your recommendation above?
