I am looking to get a little more mid-range power out of my 997.1 GT3. The car has BBi side-bypass pipes with stock center exhaust and LWFW.
Would upgrading the headers with perhaps 200 cel cats be a worthwhile improvement that you can actually feel? If so, any brand of headers to seek out, and stay away from? I've seen a lot of mentions of products from Fabspeed, AWE.. but don't know anything about them. Would I need to change anything else, like engine mapping?
Any help and advice is greatly appreciated!

the side bypass exhaust produces awesome sound as it is (get compliments on it from the local PD all day long). I'm planning on installing stock cats to pass emissions first, but then...
The sound is already there, and if it's an added bonus, I'm all about it.. but I wanted a little more kick when not racing from 5500 to redline.

Yes on the 997.1 and 997.2 GT3/RS, and I actually test fit them on a 991 GT3 Cup Car as well (pre-2017) that utilizes the 997 GT3 engine. They are fixtured and already have two sets sold and on the way to New Zealand. We are quite far behind on updating on website and creating the "official" product release, but they are $5500 for a set and come with our Valved Side Muffler Bypass Pipes as a package.

Thank you for the vote of confidence.
To partially echo what others have said, yes you will get an increase in tangible power. It is enough for you to feel, but it won't be a "game-changer" difference. As also noted, the tune is a great touch, if only to help smooth out the ignition curve.
Do understand that if you already have side bypasses, the exhaust volume increase a noticeable amount with headers.
Here are our GMG WC-Sport Headers that feature 200-cell HJS cats. Note the longer primaries lengths which help increase the mid-range powerband (while retaining the convenience/benefits of running cats). This is the product link, but if you have any more questions just let me know.
All the best,
Andrew

Some how the phone app uploaded the same pic multiple times...
The Cargraphic system with side delete and valves cats and Ti center is on the silver 997.1
The Evolution Motorsport with Sharkwerks bypass is on the white 997.2
I prefer the sound of the Sharkwerks/Evom's, but also like the 60lbs dropped off the *** end with the Cargraphics.
You can buy all through Sharkwerks

I got a pair of gmg headers, i had them ported, rewelded. I have to be honest, and don't mean to offend anyone. The gap between the heading tubing and the flange was pretty poor for airflow on my gmg headers. I hope gmg has improved that.
that said, the headers are catless + w/ my center section (x pipe) i netted a gain of .7 secs ( have hard data on this) from 40-110 mph, iirc. Find a post i made a few months back. The car sounds glorious. If any of you were at mooty's track day earlier this month, you probably heard it.
IF not, i can see if i can get video. 0 drone. no feel of loss tq in mid-range ( that could be due to x merge)
