Default So what can collect in a Turbo grill?

Need to remove the front bumper cover to replace the right parking light/turn signal due to a small crack and moisture.
Couldn't believe the amount of leaves and road grime collected in there including a small bird!

Poor bird.....Maybe I'll gain a few HP back due to the inter-cooler working a bit better.

Upclipped the cooler to get behind and removed all the crud

Dayum! I need to remove my 08 turbo front bumper for the exact same problem (moisture in passenger side blinker).

For some reason the passenger side one gets cracked. I remember when I was shopping for mine and saw several with passenger side lights "wet".

Wow, that's why I fabricated a screen kit for the Misha bumper that's going on my widebody build. It has even larger front openings and I wanted to protect the upgraded FVD Intercoolers.

I have the OEM Driver's side intercooler from an '09 Turbo S for sale in the Marketplace if anyone needs a fresher one with fewer bent fins or less crud stuck in it.

John, it's pretty nasty in there. The dead bird sorta finishes everything off with a bang.

The GTS has the same grill openings (less the intercoolers) and I've never had to get in there to pick anything off the rad.

A word of advice. If you're removing your front bumper cover, make sure your horns function well, since they have a habit of ingesting water; given their location and orientation.

Can you post a link to removing a 958 Turbo bumper?

Mine came with some after market grills I'd like to remove when I change my oil this week.

The inter cooler grills remove without tools. I make vacuuming out the crap that collects a regular part of my upkeep. 2-4 cleaning per year on average. Only takes 10 seconds to pop out the grills.

The center radiator grill is a bit more challenging. I'd is taped in and doesn't come out easily.
