Car is thirsty ALL the time. Not sure if it's the Cobb tune, the Kline Inconel Exhaust or just 911's but I'm getting 11-16 mpg on average. The 9 mpg is from Friday night...Drove 8.4 miles, half tank gone, no joke.

I haven't filled up my new to me CPO. Is Shell the preferred gas station company? All I have in my area are Wawa, Royal Farms, Valero and Sam's Club.

Gas distribution is from the same refineries to different distributors. In other words it makes no difference.

That is what I had heard a few years ago. Even the detergents are not that different.

I've aways figured any of the big name companies like Shell/Chevron are the way to go. You guys don't think the discount places like Valero might have cheaper detergent additives that might let DFI engines build up more deposits over time?

Go to the busiest one with the highest octane possible (93).

At least all the stations offer 93 octane in my area. Don't expect pretty gas station fill ups from me.
