Repairing AC lines, questions regarding methods and materials...
Hello !
I have the Greg Brown AC line kit. This thing looks like it came from the SR71 Blackbird. Awesome.
Do I just cut here? (red lines)
Secondly, when I attach the new fittings to the hard sections of old line,
do I employ the "typical" silver soldering procedure as done for other hard lines?
I have done "home repair" soldering before, where you use flux and silver solder and usually propane or MAPP gas. Is this the needed method?
and, final questions for now.... do I use flux, and is this type correct?
Thank you. May you tents be filled with belly dancers. Cute ones.

Yes thats where you cut the lines,
You could use the Mapp gas torch and silver solder paste.
BUT if the lines are still in the car their is a better way,
its better than the torch, as its hard to use the torch without burning something then using the welding rod and holding the fitting at the same time.
Get an Inductor heating tool,
it will make the fitting cherry red and then the silver solder will easily fill in.
Looks like Greg was nice to send you a piece of Muggy welding stick.
