Hey guys, I am not sure where to post this but I am going to start here.
I found a 1970 911t sitting in a garage and was considering making an offer on it. I was going to see if anyone here would have any idea as to what it may be worth.

Car was purchased in the early 80's and stored for the vast majority of its life. It was started back in the mid 90's as it moved to its final location.

Take a value for a decent quality, no rust, numbers matching '70T and reduce for the cost of what this one needs to be:
a. a driver for your own fun
b. a seller

 

I think the most accurate info on pricing will be on Hagerty - I highly suggest that you check it out. They take a ton of research and pricing and combine it into a simple formula. The pricing that it'll give you is tru to the market and what it could go for. Best of luck!

 

hat car is going to need the help of restoration design, lots of panels and bodywork and complete respray.

A great project though if you can do this stuff.

1970T project low to high is $25-35k
driver is $45-65k
restored is $80-120k

Numbers match engine and transmission would help better determine value.
Owner history and documentation would also help price point.

Nothing better then a garage find to stir up the creative juices!

This car is a project and will end up at a body shop.

I would offer between $20-29k depending on the above info and how bad you want it.

Just remember, restorations cost money. Sometimes more then the car is worth when completed.
This car needs a full restoration.

 

Well, I bought a '69T four years ago for $18K, numbers matching, in better shape than that one. With the goal of having a very, very high level driver, the car still required full restoration. Four years later, after doing as much as I could myself, I've spent about $55K (not counting purchase price), lots of NOS parts, with another ~$15K to go. The car will probably be finished this fall. A true concourse-winner restoration would cost quite a bit more.



P.S. The car you posted has rust in places most barn finds don't have rust. That doesn't bode well.
