Default New 997.2 Turbo (Only) Werks 1 Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser

NOTE THERE ARE THREE MODELS. The 997.1 Turbo, 997.2 Turbo and 997.2 Carrera S.

This unit is for a 997.2 Turbo.

FS: New 997.2 High Quality Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser

New $3000.00

Selling for $2700.00

Bought for a car that I'm now selling, never installed.

Champion Motorsports Says: "The Werks1 diffuser was designed using the most state of the art engineering and computer modeling techniques available today. Using these processes, a functional prototype was created and wind tunnel tested in order to verify the effectiveness of the part. During testing, it was proven that a stock 997.2 (with wing raised) produced over 40lbs of lift at the rear axel, at 175mph. With the rear wing raised and the new Werks1 diffuser installed, that number was completely eliminated, and the test vehicle not only showed no signs of lift, but it now produced 14 lbs of usable downforce, again at the rear axle. When measured at both the front and rear axles, the stock 997.2 showed nearly 110 lbs of total lift. Once the Werks1 diffuser was added, total lift was reduced to just below 75lbs. Best of all, the addition of the Werks1 rear diffuser increased the vehicle's coefficient of drag (or Cd) by only .002, from .313Cd to .315Cd. What this means is that the downforce created by the Werks1 rear diffuser is essentially "free", with no negative side-effects to be found."

does this fit a 997.1TT? all images show it fitted to a 997.1TT. But your description says it is for a 997.2. Can you please clarify.

What a beautiful peace.

How does this affect engine temps. Seems like your blocking the whole bottom of the engine from natural cooling?

Hello All,

According to the Champion Motorsports website, this will fit all 997.2s. To be 100% certain pls call Champion Motorsports 800-775-2456 for your application.

The rear diffuser is designed for airflow to take place with no impact to operating temperatures. I asked, because of my own concerns.

This is a new item with all attachment pieces.

Good Luck...JB

There are three available, one for the 997.1 Turbo and 997.2. Turbo and the 997.2 Carrera S

I would suggest a buyer to call Champion Motorsports at 800-775-2456, to ensure they're 100% satisfied.

Nice looking car!!!!

Cheers

It was my concern too!!! But, I spoke directly with the engineer responsible for this unit. Extensive track testing was completed to ensure airflow was not an issues. The design is such that air still flows under the engine without any temp issues.

I just found out that there are three models 997.1 Turbo, 997.2 Turbo and 997.2 Carrera S.

This is a piece of art work... amazingly light weight and WERKs1 only puts out high end products period. Not cheap but high end quality no doubt. I just added the WERKs1 airbox made for the 997.... another piece of CF jewelry.

Champion Motorsports and Werks1 puts out very good parts.

Your car's intake has a high quality aeronautical like appearance, that I'd expect to find in a new general aviation aircraft, very nice!!! JB
