Very cool thread! I love that this info is being collected and compared. It makes the cars more interesting, and (IMHO) more valuable to know their history.

there was no tape under the glove box on #239, the records I found date to '89.
too many PO's, aftermarket alarm, stereo change, chevy conversion before it sat 10 years.,
Hey, it has new brake pads, and good tread on the 10 year old (dry rotted) tires.

Tape is build number, not date. Date would be on the door sticker or VIN Plate (see posts and pics above in thread).
I was aware. The question mark was merely there because I wasn't sure I was reading the production number correctly. My car does not have the build date plate in the door jam. Maybe I'll replace the tape and write "0001"
