928 Spyder at The Mitty 2017 @ Road Atlanta
My son and I took the 928 Spyder to The Mitty classic car races at Road Atlanta this past Saturday. It was the 40th Anniversary and Porsche was the feature marque so they did an all Porsche set of Parade laps that we were able to take part in. Car did great and we got to do 4 laps at speeds up around 85 MPH on the front straight and also the back straight leading into the S curves. Got a couple on on-track pics, got to meet Hurley Haywood at the Porsche display, who put my son into a 991 RSR and gave him some pointers
Weather was hot and sunny, but with a nice breeze most of the day. The 928 got tons of attention, lots of compliments, and quite a few questions - every time we walked by there were 3 or 4 people checking it out and taking photographs. Ours was one of only three 928s I saw there, but there were also some really neat other Porsches of all model types and years. This was the first time we went to The Mitty, but we had a great time and will definitely be putting it on the calendar for next year.

That is awesome!! I got to do 3 laps around Road Atlanta at about 7/10ths behind the owner of Year One back in 04 IIRC. My adult son was with me, in my '89 GT. It was an awesome feeling looking out my own windshield seeing the track, after seeing that same view from so many "in car camera" shots from various races over the years. An excellent track, and you're definitely making some lasting memories for you and your son. Kudos on the car as well. Beautiful!
