Auto Part Desk Junk Decorations
Let's see.... hmmmm........ what to write about....... very bored right now.... voices in my head are strangely silent. Must find topic that has not been done before, interesting, will provide a huge inspiration for folks to start wrenching on their cars, and loaded with personal tragedy and triumph....
GOT IT!!! Desk Junk!!!
Below is a bit of my auto junk laying around my office..... there are tons more... interior bits, shifter, center console, arm rests.....little car models..... but these were within arm's reach.
- Wheel bearings from my 2000 Boxster S (races had divots!)
- Horn from my 2009 C2S
- Ignition switch C2S
- Spark plugs C2S
- Vic Elford autographed mousepad
And you?
Peace

I like it, Bruce!
I've got about 10 car models in my office right now, this metal and enamel badge from my Cayman days, and this engraving of my personal C4S on my wall. I just bought some old hubcaps from a 912 (maybe...?) that I might bring in here too.

That does it!
I was on the fence about using my dual row IMS bearing from my old 2000 911 as a paper weight. I am bring it in tomorrow. Ahhhhh those were the days, worrying about 911 self destruction.
Peace of mind with my new to me 2010 911 S DFI engine.

Here's my air-cooled collection ('68-only TANK-OEL gauge, '68 911L deck script and decent badge from a '74) along with an engraved wooden Porsche crest that I bought from a guy on early911sregistry that he bought with his 911L new back in '68 (oh yeah, and my kids, too...)
And here's my car collection for as close as I could get for the models in my garage (although I couldn't find a model Cayenne S in Meteor Gray Metallic...):
