1st time for everything....
First time Smoky here.. i'm not sure there are many superlatives necessary, this is simply a first class event. I don't mean that in the luxury sense.. I mean that in the true sense of the right values, the right people, environment, organization, setup, roads, and of course.. the right cars. Absolutely top top notch, so honored to have been able to attend.
I'll attach a few of my pics, and then will post some videos later... 2 little clips i'll add here though, which made everyone smile was
1. Lee King (I believe) doing some very nice doughnuts on the runway,
2. my friend who gave a child with very severe Cystic Fibrosis the ride of a lifetime down the runway in his 918 Weissach.
again, great fun for a great cause.. infinite praise to Mayur and Sean for an incredibly well executed event. unforgettable.
taking the 911R for a good hot run on the Dragon yielded some fun max G-force numbers
how often do you see a lineup like this?... and it went on for 70+ cars!
just your average 918 traffic jam
tails...
tails and more tails...
beauty
that quintessiantial 911 c-pillar.
even this beautiful monarch butterfly died at the 911R altar.
washing cars while it was raining was the ultimate sign of 911 obsession in my book.
Got up at 430am so we could be at the Dragon before the cops and before the traffic. Then ended up waiting for the gas station to open as you can burn through quite a lot of premium at 7-9k revs....
a well-used 911R... newfound respect for this machine's incredible balance. was able to tail the 918 on the Dragon with it!
a small fraction of all the attendees.
no garage queen 918
