Sebring International Raceway now has two Yellow Lights under the bridge at Turn 17. They're on the far left side of the drive-over bridge, and they're actually pretty well placed...right in your line of sight as you come through the turn. The lights are controlled from the Turn 17a flag station. There's a single yellow, and a blinking double yellow.



They did a test during a Chin Motorsports event this past weekend and, frankly, the lights aren't very bright and it's really easy to miss them. Brighter bulbs will help, and I'm sure they'll figure that out. Anyway, after I became aware of the new Turn 17 lights, I noticed a light under the bridge just before Turn 1...



....and on the rickety old drive-over bridge at Turn 5...



....and on the walk-over bridge in the braking zone to Turn 7.



I've got a gazillion laps at Sebring (maybe a gazillion and two). I've been coming here since 1964. But I have NEVER...EVER seen these lights before. At lunchtime, I hopped the fences to check them out...and they're rusty, the wiring boxes are open, and they all look like they haven't been used since...well, 1964. Has anyone else ever noticed these yellow lights?
