@mts: Great looking garage and setup, although it would look better with a 993 in there . Love the 2-post hoist. What is your garage ceiling height?

Clean garages can see a lot of hands on work too.

Is this better? Height is 11'6". Liftmaster jackshaft opener and re-worked the garage door track and I can get full rise on pretty much any car.

Get a 4 post lift or two and you can squeeze more in there.

Looks like you need a hangar more than a bigger garage...

^^^ would you comment on how you like the tile floor and dealing with dirt, mud, snow, etc...? Does it leak through and become a maintenance problem? Thx.

Todynot,
I like the Racedeck. It's easy to install and simple to clean.
tiles can be gouged by sharp objects (e.g dragging a steal rack across floor) but are easily replaced. Tiles have a grid pattern underneath and any fluids spilled can drain out. Racedeck also makes a open grid tile which offers even more drainage.

redcarrera - what is the height of our garage ceiling? Thinking of doing something similar and that doesn't look too tight for storage.

Wallyworld,
Ceiling is about 9'4" in the middle (floor has about a 3* slope). It's a Bendpack HD9XW (revM). It's tight, both cars are lowered and I have about a foot clearance above them- combined not each. I doubt I could fit a different car with the 993 - the 914 is only about 40" tall.

Looks like a normal 4 car garage but designed it so that my man cave is upstairs and effectively over the first 2 garage bays. Ceiling height over the second 2 bays is about 24 feet. The entire wall of the man cave is glass so that I can admire these machines from there. Ultimate plan is to install 2 lifts which will allow for 6 cars total and also raise the "fun cars" for easier viewing from the man cave. I have lots of wall space for garage art/memorabilia.

Please excuse the junk around the perimeter and the butcher paper window treatments.
don't take this the wrong way brian, but you suck!!

that set up is pretty damn awesome! congrats on being able to design that.
